 Hola! I would like to introduce myself as your Spanish teacher. My name is Rebecca Fabian-Rosiles, and I hope you enjoy learning about the Spanish language and about the cultures in the Spanish-speaking world.

           I was born in Michoacan, Mexico and raised in Mexico City. I attended college at the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico, and transferred to the Universidad Autonoma Metropolitana to pursue my BS in Hidrobiology (well known as Oceanography). I moved to Chicago, IL in 1998 and graduated from Northeastern Illinois University as a Foreign Language Teacher with a minor in Science in 2004. By 2010, I obtained a Masters Degree in Education at the Chicago State University. I am currently pursuing my National Board Certification, and hope to complete it in the following 2 years.

I am fully certified by the state of Illinois and California to teach Spanish and Science. In 2004, I started my teaching career in Illinois working as Bilingual-Science teacher at Bolingbrook High School. I moved to Greater Los Angeles in 2010 and continued to expand my experience as a Middle School Science and Spanish teacher. I was also involved in the implementation and delivery of the Dual Immersion Program at Mark Twain Middle School. This year marks my 13th anniversary in the teaching field, and I hope to count many more!

I have high expectations for my students and myself. I expect they will do their best work and bring their best attitude every day. All classes are special for me, but I should declare myself guilty of loving my homeroom. My senior students are working hard to apply for college, create resumes, find a job, and more! I also have the pleasure of being the Class 2021 Advisor!
