Theatre
Theatre Introduction AB- Freshman Rotation. 9th grade students will be exposed to dance, drama, tech theatre and vocal music. The final unit will be the production and performance of the freshman show directed and choreographed by seniors. *All 9th grades students should be enrolled.
Theatre Ensemble AB- Beginning level acting. Units include warm up games, pantomime, voice, basic scene work, characterization, blocking, fairy tale theatre, and short scripts. *Open to all students 10-12
Theatre Company AB- Advanced acting students compete at the DTASC Fall Theatre Festival and Spring Shakespeare Festival. Additional units include directing, monologues, and script writing. *must have completed Theatre Ensemble or teacher approval
Theatre Directing AB- selected seniors are invited to coach freshmen and direct and choreograph the Freshman Show. *teacher approval only
Theatre Production AB- 7th period performance class for 9th and 10th grade students. Focuses on the production and performance of the Battle of the Classes 1st semester and the Multicultural Show 2nd semester. *Must be academically eligible to enroll and perform
Theatre World Performance AB- 7th period performance class for 11th and 12th grade students. Focuses on the production and performance of the Battle of the Classes 1st semester and the Multicultural Show 2nd semester. *Must be academically eligible to enroll and performance.
Theatre Improvisation AB- 8th period class focuses on developing improvisation acting skills. Students enrolled have the opportunity to join the Comedy Sportz team and participate in competitive improv.
 
Dance
Dance A- Beginning dance focuses on vocabulary and developing proper dance technique.
Modern Dance AB- Intermediate dance focuses on further developing technique and beginning choreography skills.
Beginning Dance Choreography & Production AB- Advanced dance focuses on continuing to train and grow as a dancer as well as a choreographer.
 
Technical Theatre
Theatre Design AB- Stage Crew. Students will learn various elements of technical theatre, create and paint sets, props and costumes for show, work sound, lighting and backstage for HArts events and performances. Students are required to crew at least one event per semester. Rehearsals and event days may be after school, evenings or weekends. *10-12th grade
Theatre Design Concepts AB- Advanced Stage Crew. Students will further develop their technical theatre skills as well as compete in the technical events at the DTASC Fall and Shakespeare Festivals. Students are required to crew at least 2 events per semester. *11-12th grade
 
Vocal Music
Theatre Music Production A- Choir for students of all levels. Students learn basics of reading music and vocal technique and perform at several HArts events during the year. *9-12th grade
