Biography

Michael Denman has been a high school history teacher in the Los Angeles Unified School District for the last 34 years.  

Named the California Secondary Teacher of the Year in 2002 by the California Council for Social Studies, Michael Denman is an active board member for the Southern California Social Science Association

 In 2013, Michael Denman was awarded the George Moffett Award for Outstanding Contributions to the Field of Social Studies. When he is not teaching or helping to run Student Council and student activities at HArts, he plays fantasy football, watches BBC mysteries and spends time with his wife and daughter
