The Gay Straight Alliance is a club located in the Humanity and Arts Academy of Los Angeles. This club consists of multiple members from both the LGBTQ and straight community. Both communities come together to discuss topics such as equal rights, acceptance, and bondings to help these things happen. This club is a safe place for students to meet, talk about issues related to sexual orientation and gender identity and expression, and work to end homophobia and transphobia.
Being part of this club means you are a supporter of the LGBTQ community. We also help students who are struggling with their identity, and we provided full support to them. In this club you are safe and open to express yourself, when in other places you can't. We help build up communities where your sexual identity is respected and accepted. We have weekly meetings for cabinet and full club to discuss topics that concern us.
This club also has bondings to help with the possibility of isolation or the feeling of being left out that a student may experience.
We are always accepting new members to keep the club active, and to better help the communities around us!
