Biography

 

Marcey Abrons has been in education for the past 10 years. She currently serves as Counselor at Humanities and Arts Academy of Los Angeles. She received a Bachelor’s of Arts in Communication emphasis in Marketing and Public Relations in 2011 from California State University, Dominguez Hills. Throughout her time at California State University, Dominguez Hills she worked within her community at the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Los Angeles Harbor overseeing the Port of Los Angeles High School Center programs as well as all education programming for six years. Ms. Abrons found her passion in inspiring the youth through her time at the Boys and Girls Club and enrolled in a Master’s of Education at the University of La Verne. She received her Master’s of Education in Educational Counseling and Pupil Personnel Services Credential in 2015 and still continues her work with the Boys and Girls Club. In 2011, Marcey Abrons received Assemblymember Bonnie Lowenthal “30 Under 30” award. Ms. Abrons believes that every student can achieve and deserves the proper support to allow them success in an educational setting and for the future.
